Building permits: a permit is required to do any building or construction in Linn Valley. Building permit applications are available from the building inspector, city hall or you may obtain one from the Linn Valley Lakes Propery Owners Association office. This building permit application will also be submitted to the Property Owners Association Architectural Control Committee for their approval.
Contractors license- all contractors doing business inside the city limits of Linn Valley, must be licensed with the City.
A license can be obtained at a cost of $25, from city hall, with proof of insurance coverage.

Click here for Current List of Approved Contractors 2012 Contractors List 5-12 The Linn Valley City Council has adopted the International Residential Code (2000) and the International Building Code. Building Permits for any building or construction on any lot are required for Linn Valley. No building permit fee shall be assessed for the following listed repairs to existing buildings unless the said repairs exceed $5,000.
a. Repair or replacement of roof
b. General outside maintenance excluding foundation and electrical work.
Effective June 4th, 2001, the Linn Valley Lakes POA requires the lot corner pins to be located by a licensed professional surveyor piror to the star of any construction or lot clearing. The Steps for this procedure are outlined on the Building Permit Application.
